but I've been busy!!

Holy Moly things have been a little hectic around here lately. That busy that I've totally forgotten to take any photos! Bad bad blogger.

I feel like I'm in a whirlwind of activity and just constantly on the go.

Seriously can't wait to get over to Bali and finally relax.

I had S's Hen a week ago which was interesting yet fun on Stallions Afloat (yes, its a boat with strippers and topless waiters) and finished off with dancing at The Retro, I booked a room for the girls and I at The Four Seasons Darling Harbour and we were lucky enough to get upgraded to a Harbour View room! Yay.

D had his 26th Birthday and I took him to Nicks Seafood at Cockle Bay for the Seafood Platter. It was amazing! For $170, it was totally worth it. The Lobster was insane! This platter shits on the Jordans Seafood platter, which we found out was no longer there anymore?
Here it is.. image from here.

I had my beautiful friend K's wedding on Saturday. It was just stunning. I flew solo to the event as D went camping down south for his brothers 30th. I was most definitely the winner on this occasion, D spent the night under rain and slept on an airbed while I dined on amazing food at Quay with the Harbour Bridge and Opera House as a backdrop.

I was worried about the weather on Saturday as there were predicted showers and K's ceremony was outdoors at Arthur McElhone Reserve, Elizabeth Bay - right infront of Elizabeth Bay House. It was a stunning location, set up beautifully with a string quartet, which was lovely. There was also a Tea Ceremony and it was really special to see them combine the two cultures.

The rain held off for these two lovers, their ceremony was beautiful and personalised which I loved. I was teary eyed throughout the whole thing.

The reception was held at Quay and I, like everyone, have always wanted to go here after seeing the Snow Egg on Masterchef, and it did not disappoint.
I thought it would be difficult on my own but I just put myself out there and met some really lovely people. I was also seated with a pretty awesome bunch of people and we laughed all night long.

Most important part - What I ate : Entree: Slow cooked coturnix quail breast, pumpernickel, walnuts, quinoa, truffle, chestnuts and Milk skin - YUM! For main: Roasted Fillet of grain fed beef, potato puree, slow braised mushrooms, grains, seeds and nuts - MMM mmm! and Dessert: Jackfruit Granita, jackfruit icecream, jackfruit puree and vanilla cream - luckily I love jackfruit, this was divine!

I have my besties wedding on this Sunday, rain is still predicted for this weekend but I have been doing a daily raindance, so hopefully the rain Gods will listen!

still to do:
Pick up dress
Pick up wedding rings
Get my eyebrows done, waxing and cut and colour
Get trousers for Dad
Dental appointment
Flower girls shoes
Pick up Dresses for Flowergirl and Junior BM
Complete Playlist
Print wedding programs and Thank you tags

Fingers crossed and I can it all done in a week.

Hope you all have had a lovely looooong weekend!
